VelvetVice (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is operated by The Hopium Lab Ltd. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. VelvetVice is an adult application intended only for users aged 18 or over.

1. Information we collect

• Account information.When you sign in we collect your email address. We use a passwordless “magic link” sign-in, so we do not store a password.
• Content you create. The story prompts, character details, settings, and the stories generated for you are stored so you can return to them.
• Purchase information. If you subscribe, your purchase and subscription status are processed by Apple and our payments partner. We receive confirmation of your subscription tier but never your full payment-card details.
• Technical and usage data. Basic device and diagnostic information used to keep the App stable and secure.

2. How we use your information

• To create and operate your account and store your stories.
• To generate story content and narration at your request.
• To process and manage your subscription.
• To maintain security, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
• To respond to your support requests.

3. AI-generated content

VelvetVice generates fiction using third-party AI models. When you create or continue a story, the prompts and context you provide are sent to our AI provider (xAI) to generate text and voice narration. We do not sell your content, and we instruct our providers to process it solely to deliver the feature you requested.

4. Service providers

We share data only with providers who help us run the App:

• Supabase: database, authentication, and hosting.
• Apple: app distribution and payment processing.
• RevenueCat: subscription management.
• xAI: AI text and voice generation.

5. Data retention

We keep your account information and stories for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your stories and associated personal data, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal or accounting obligations.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@velvetvice.app.

7. Account & data deletion

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing privacy@velvetvice.app from your account email address. We will action verified requests within 30 days.

8. Children

VelvetVice is strictly for adults. The App is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors. If we learn that we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted transport and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and respond promptly to any incident.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, communicated in the App.
